Insomnia – it takes me a while to fall asleep, could i have insomnia?

Insomnia :

It usually takes me about an hour, but up to 2 and a half to fall asleep. I am 13 and my mom just says its cuz i need to drink more water? I dont think so cuz its been happening fo a long tome now. Any words of advice for how i can fall asleep, or anyone have a diagnosis?

    Worrying about not being able to sleep only makes it worse.You need to learn how to calm yourself and relax before going to bed at night.Everyone at one time or another has trouble sleeping,life can be very stressful.Try a few of these,and hopefully they will help,remember though everyone has their own methods of relaxing. Try taking a relaxing bath right before bedtime.Read a little in bed to put your mind on other things then your day you just had.Listen to calming music or sounds. Look at your bedroom itself,are there items in the room that keep you up? For example:Cell phone,computer,is your room to cluttered ? If there are to many items in your bedroom it can cause you to be too distracted to fall asleep.Hope this helps!

    and.. I have the same problem, sometimes I just lay awake until morning…

    what you should do is, just find a comfy position and just try to sleep, dont THINK about trying to fall asleep, just…. sleep… think about stuff… like your crush or whatever but dont get too excited hahaha…
